Cideon Software announced updates to its SAP PLM CAD integrations, which improve performance  in working with CAD systems and SAP.

According to the company, the solution makes it possible to manage engineering documents using SAP, and links the multiple systems involved in product development at an early stage.

Detailed information about all SAP business objects is made available to the user for one or several selected business objects (documents, materials, material BOMs, PSP elements, PLM 7 objects). Costs and pricing information as well as other data are also possible.

The simplification and acceleration of project work is ensured by the new cProjects browser, the company says. Documents can be attached to their corresponding cProjects nodes simply by dragging and dropping them. Browsing PS structures and network plans is possible and the complete range of functions is also available here as well.

An open architecture allows smaller software products to be linked to SAP with no effort. The RFC Tunnel functions as a communications interface and provides the opportunity to integrate different software products with SAP.

In addition, the company has made enhancements to its interface design for AutoCAD, Inventor, MicroStation, Solid Edge, SolidWorks and ENOVIA V6 systems.
