Wolfram Research (Champaign, IL; wolfram.com) has announced the availability of GUIKit, which enables users to construct graphical user interfaces (GUIs) within one programming and scripting language.
Using Mathematica's deployment options, developers can package their GUIKit applications for end-users either as stand-alone client applications or integrated within a Mathematica session. According to Wolfram Research, these applications then enable end-users to perform sophisticated computations with a few mouse clicks, and without requiring any knowledge of Mathematica.
