Paradigm Imaging Group (Costa Mesa, CA) has added to its scanner product line with the new imagePRO 42 scanner series. The series scans, prints, and copies images using CCD technology with 1200dpi optical resolution. Three versions of the imagePRO 42 scanners are available -- monochrome, color, and enhanced color.

The scanners were created for scanning documents that contain detailed images that call for a wide color gamut with high dynamic range. They are designed to provide detailed scans of technical documents like engineering drawings, maps, blueprints, and site plans, as well as reproductions of posters and other visual media.

The scanner will scan from original media anywhere from 6 inches to 48 inches wide with any length. The imagePRO GxT model will scan thick media up to 0.8 in. thick.

Paradigm Imaging Group's Randy Geesman said, "This new imagePRO scanner series will initially be available in a 42 in. model, followed by a 25 in. and a 54 in. model within about six months."
