The new version 10 of PolyWorks, the universal 3D metrology software platform from InnovMetric Software, Inc. (Quebec,CANADA), has a completely rebuilt user interface based on the new Xtreme interface platform.

The new user interface not only allows the customization of menus and toolbars, but lets users redefine the interface layout, including enabling total control over windowpane location, visibility, and docking constraints. Customized interface layouts can be saved to visual layout files and be switched in real time. PolyWorks customers can create very simplified interface layouts to optimize their workflow, or configure PolyWorks into direct shop floor applications for increased user productivity.

In addition, for the first time, InnovMetric is releasing PolyWorks on both 32-bit and 64-bit platforms. The 64-bit version of PolyWorks will support an unlimited amount of data points. Based on the availability of 64-bit technology from its partners, some of the third-party plug-ins will be released within the following months.

PolyWorks V10 offers several major new tools, such as a new version of its polygonal meshing tool now capable of running over a network of computers, a redesigned GDandT engine based on patented Smart GDandT technology licensed from Multi Metrics, and a new Airfoil gauge whose algorithms process datasets from various white-light and laser-based 3D digitizing devices.
