Quickparts (Atlanta, GA), an online provider of custom-manufactured plastic and metal parts, has redesigned its Web site. It features a new Quickparts Learning Center, which offers tools for product designers and engineers to find the best manufacturing solution for their applications.

The Quickparts Learning Center provides product designers and engineers with easy-to-use tools to better understand the most effective procedures for achieving the best solution for their applications. The Material Advisor, for example, lets users search more than 30 materials based on a variety of options, including manufacturing process, appearance/color, application, special requirements, production material equivalent, and mechanical properties. Users can compare as many as 10 materials side by side.

Design Analysis is a guide to designing injection-molded parts, and CAD Tips & Tricks lists the top 10 common mistakes in designing parts for rapid prototyping.

"Quickparts is always looking for quick and easy ways to share ideas and resources with our customers," said Ronald L. Hollis, PhD., Quickparts president and CEO. "Our unique Learning Center opens up a treasure trove of information."
