VX Technologies and Rapidform, Inc. (Sunnyvale, CA) have announced ajoint sales promotion of interest to users of reverse engineeringhardware software. If you purchase a perpetual license of rapidformXORedesign (XOR) 3D scanning software and the VX StarCAM 3D digitalimaging and spatial measurement scanners, you are eligible for adiscount of up to $10,000.

RapidformXOR software enables you to create parametric, fully editableMCAD models from 3D data scans. The resultant file can be exported asnative geometry to a variety of MCAD applications, such as SolidWorks.Additionally, the rapidformXOR models are said to be true solid modelsthat are dimensionable, constrainable, and feature-driven.

The portable StarCAM family of 3D imaging systems uses simultaneousstereo images of the contrast, brightness, and edges to determine thedepth of your object of interest. The systems provide real-time datacollection and use of measurement data.

In their joint announcement, the companies say that the promotion runsfrom now until December 15, 2006. For compete details, go to Rapidformor VX Technologies.
