Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has introduced its TCS Embedded Code Analyzer (TCS ECA), which was developed in collaboration with Nissan Motor Co. Tata has made the program available through Yokogawa Digital Computer Corporation.

According to a company press release, the Embedded Code Analyzer assists the software assurance lifecycle for automotive, high tech and other industries that rely on embedded software to develop products. It helps ensure that embedded software products are able to run smoothly at all times throughout the development process. TCS ECA can automatically detect coding defects that might go through the development stage undetected and cause issues later in the software development cycle.

“Delivering high quality Nissan products, including the software embedded aboard our vehicles, is always a top priority. The latest version of the TCS ECA will help us address all pre-delivery defects in the early stages of development, with the ultimate goal of achieving zero defects,” said Masaaki Miyashita, manager of the electronics engineering development division in Nissan.
