URS Corporation Names New GMOS Manager,URS Corporation Names New GMOS Manager

URS Corporation has named James Taylor as the new general manager of its Global Management and Operations Services (GMOS) business group in Aiken, GA.

In his new position, Taylor will oversee day-to-day operations, manage the group’s profit and loss, strategic initiatives and business development activities. He will also supervise administrative and operations support functions. According to the press release, Taylor has worked in the nuclear industry for 26 years.

“James is a dynamic leader with intimate knowledge of the needs and requirements of this important market,” George Nash, president of Energy and Construction, said a press release. “He has a history of delivering superior results for our (Department of Energy) and (Nuclear Decommissioning Authority) clients.”

URS has also appointed Todd Write as executive vice president of operations for GMOS. He plans to oversee GMOS business operations and closely work with the group’s strategic business unit leads.

“These appointments will allow us to build on our momentum in these very important markets and continue to grow our business,” Nash added.
