Dynaflow, Inc.'s (Jessup, MD) 2DFlowplusV2.5 is a program for visualizing flows induced by the distributions of point and line singularities such as vortices, dipoles and sources. It graphically illustrates the use of potential flow theory by the combination of a uniform flow with a variety of singularities to simulate a wide range of fluid mechanics problems.

Designed for professional and educational use, 2DFlowplusV2.5 quickly produces graphic representations of many classical fluid dynamics problems helping comprehension. When used in conjunction with a fluid dynamics class, 2DFlowplusV2.5 can make visualization of textbook theory as easy as clicking the mouse. It also allows the user to simulate and visualize complex flows making it a valuable tool for the professional.

2DFlowplusV2.5 uses a friendly GUI with easy access to its frequently used functions and features. Highlights include point-and-click singularity insertion and editing; solid boundaries and objects of arbitrary shapes can be insert in the flow; study internal as well as external flows; problem simulation that allows the user to compute and view flow-trajectories, equipotential-lines, stream-lines, pressures and velocity vectors using full-color contours, iso-quantity lines and trajectories; and more.

The hardware required is an IBM PC or 100 percent compatible with a 486 processor or better running Windows 95 or Windows NT.
