Nemetschek North America (Columbia, MD) released the Spanish-language version of VectorWorks 12.5.2, a maintenance update for VectorWorks Architect, VectorWorks Fundamentals, and RenderWorks. The update fixes a problem some Macintosh users encountered when saving a file while other open files are minimized or docked; it also resolves cosmetic interface issues with Microsoft Vista. In addition, users will see improvements to file size and PDF export capabilities. For more information and to download the 12.5.2 update at no charge, visit www.nemetschek.net/downloads

Active Sensing, Inc. (ASI; Castle Rock, CO) released PDXpert product lifecycle management (PLM) software in Simplified Chinese, to accommodate preferred local language versions from companies in China and India, two of the fastest-growing markets for PLM software. PDXpert PLM software improves data accessibility and security for growing companies’ product data management processes through document and part definition, bill of materials (BOM) management, engineering change forms with approval workflow, and electronic data library. The software offers free-form text searches; category-based item numbering; drag-and-drop construction of bills of materials and change forms; unique undo/redo editing; user-defined custom properties; and easy data export. The Chinese version may be obtained by contacting Beyond Source, Inc. PDXpert PLM software is available now in English at BuyPLM.com.

The Reveal Extreme Visualization Player from Computational Engineering International (CEI; Apex, NC) now includes full Japanese-language support. All menu items, dialog boxes, and help messages can easily be set to default to either Japanese or English at the user’s choosing. Reveal is used to share visualization results with designers and sales people who may not necessarily speak English fluently. To learn more about CEI products, visit ensight.com.
