The rapid spread of COVID-19 has put many healthcare providers under great strain as they provide treatment and care to affected patients. 3D Systems is offering its services, and is reaching out to its customers and partners to join the company in sharing resources to help overcome this pandemic, 3D Systems officials say. 

If companies are able to offer their engineering teams' time and expertise, or access to 3D printers, 3D Systems says it would greatly appreciate this support. Conversely, if there are medical device manufacturers, hospitals or healthcare providers out there that need help to bridge a supply chain gap, 3D Systems is inviting them to reach out directly, promising to "do everything possible to fulfill your request."

Support for Medical Device Manufacturers

3D Systems says it is committed to supporting medical device manufacturers with 3D printed components in either plastic or metal materials to help ease supply chain issues for critical care devices such as ventilators and certified face masks. 3D Systems maintains a wide network of capabilities including good manufacutring practice manufacturing facilities and validated print processes. Support for Point of Care / Hospitals

3D Systems says it provides solutions to urgent needs at the point of care. Examples include engineering and printing support for personal protective items, manufacturing capabilities for ventilator venturi valves, and medical education resources for lung ultrasound procedures. 3D Systems invites interested parties to reach out to the experts at the company for further information.
