The new industrial micro ATX motherboard from the eAutomation Group of Advantech (Cincinnati, OH) supports the latest Intel Core 2 Duo, Intel Core Duo, and Intel Core Solo processors with 400/533/667 MHz FSB. 

The AIMB-554 offers multiple onboard I/O capabilities, with one PCI-Express x16 slot for a higher end graphics card, one PCI-Express x4 slot, two PCI 32/33 slots, and eight hi-speed USB 2.0 ports. The AIMB-554 has an onboard single/dual Gigabit LAN via PCI Express host interface. Two Serial ATA ports with RAID 0, one RS-232 port, one RS-232/422/485 port, and a parallel port are also included. The AIMB-554 also features a watchdog timer and CMOS data backup. A custom BIOS service is available for specific function support as well.
 
The Intel 945GM Express chipset includes the Intel 945GM Graphic Memory Controller Hub and Intel I/O Controller. The integrated VGA controller and GMA950 provide graphics via a PCI-Express x16 port, LVDS, and TV-out connector, with support for dual display applications. The Intel 945GM Express chipset provides remote asset management capabilities, improved storage speed, and reliability along with lower power consumption benefits.

The AIMB-554 complies with RoHS specifications and is fully compatible with Advantech's micro ATX chassis. The board supports Windows XP, 2K, Linux, Solaris, QNX, FreeBSD, and Novell Netware.
