Advantech’s New Embedded Automation Computer has a Core 2 Duo CPU and PCI Express Expansion

The Industrial Automation Group of Advantech Corporation has introduced the UNO-3282, a high-performance embedded automation computer with a fanless,  diskless, and cable-less design.

The UNO-3282 comes with a Core 2 Duo CPU, 1 x PCI slot, and 1 x PCI Express. A user-replaceable kit is included that can replace the PCI Express/PCI slot combination with two standard PCI slots. This allows the UNO-3282 to fulfill a variety of applications.

With 2 x Gigabit LAN ports, 4 x serial ports, 4 x USB, VGA,  DVI-D, PCI Express, and a PCI slot, the UNO-3282 can connect multiple peripheral devices without extra wiring while extending I/O, vision and audio functions for different field requests. The UNO-3282’s 1.5GHz Core 2 Duo CPU with 1GB DDRII RAM brings high-performance to automation control tasks.

Customers can develop applications on Windows 2000/XP/Vista,  Linux or an embedded OS, such as Windows XP Embedded and Embedded Linux and install them on internal CF or 2.5” hard drive.
