Altima Software (Cupertino, CA) launched Everest 2009 Team Edition, its next generation data management software designed for enterprise CAD users. Everest 2009 expands on Altima’s innovative technology, now providing support for design data shared on a network.
Described as “a radically new approach to data management,” Everest does not require users to upload their documents into a proprietary server software storage, so they keep total control over them, and keep accessing them the way they always have; this means no more need for check-ins and check-outs.
Everest does not require the heavy setup, administration and maintenance that most often are imposed by traditional systems. With Everest 2009, users can finally enjoy state-of-the-art data management features, such as fast searches across the network, superior file navigation, simple revision management, or accurate graphical drawing comparison without disrupting workflow or the organization of data.
Everest 2009 features are seamlessly integrated to AutoCAD and other Autodesk applications.
