ARCHIBUS, Inc.(Boston, MA) has announced the release of FM Web Central 15 withenhanced core functionality and three new Web-based applications:Project Management, Capital Budgeting, and Move Management. ARCHIBUS,Inc. is also releasing Web-based activities updated to the J2EEplatform—Emergency Preparedness and Asset Management.

"These new Web-based applications expand the breadth of the ARCHIBUS/FMimplementation to address crucial elements in the facility andinfrastructure life cycle," said Bruce K. Forbes, CEO and President ofARCHIBUS/FM.

ARCHIBUS/FM Project Management helps keep projects on schedule andwithin budget by creating a central repository for a "top-down"perspective of program and project priorities, actions, and costs.Powerful analytic views can summarize the details from hundreds ofprojects in one convenient matrix. The product tracks propertyacquisition, renovation, construction, condition assessment, and moveprojects in one integrated view so users can coordinate interrelatedmilestones from different departments, disciplines, and sites.

The ARCHIBUS/FM Capital Budgeting application manages the capitalbudget cycle to improve strategic capital planning. It uses Web-basedintelligent workflows to connect stakeholders throughout the process, aligning with an organization's overall strategic facility andinfrastructure plans, and offers consoles and dashboards to help userseasily visualize the project's progress. It summarizes all capitalplanning activity in a consistent format to help prioritize programsand projects, coordinate activities, and budget resources. Intelligentworkflows have been designed to enable "what-if' scenario planning toimprove the process and reduce business interruption and cost overrunsfor complete, end-to-end planning.

The ARCHIBUS/FM Move Management application streamlines the entiremove/add/change process from single-person to multi-phased moves, reducing costs and minimizing organizational disruption. Theapplication provides automated workflow rules ensuring that employeesreceive e-mail notifications of each move phase to improvecommunication, coordination, and collaboration between in-house andexternal resources.
Enhanced organization-wide communication results in increased customersatisfaction by reducing downtime and minimizing move errors.

FM Web Central 15 (English) is now available to both new and existingusers. Current users who participate in the ARCHIBUS Annual SoftwareSubscription program receive the enhancements upon request, with noadditional charge. End-users with previous versions of FM WebCentralcan upgrade for a fee. The upgrade includes documentation inboth printed and electronic formats. For more information, visit archibus.com.
