Astra Tech, Inc. (Waltham,MA), a provider of comprehensive solutions for implant dentistry,  announced the addition of Atlantis 3D Viewer to their online Atlantis WebOrder system. Before final production of the abutment, dental and other healthcare professionals can review Atlantis abutment designs in an optimized 360 degree view via the internet. Astra Tech customers now have 24/7 access to view their Atlantis case images.

The Viewer is expected to reduce costs associated with reviewing abutment designs before they are manufactured, as well as simplify the reviewing process.

The Atlantis VAD (Virtual Abutment Design) system is used for designing and fabricating Atlantis abutments. It is a patented process that combines 3D optical scanning, advanced software, and manufacturing methods that is designed to deliver patient-specific abutments without manual modification.
