Crump Group Inc. (CGI), a manufacturer of 3D inspection equipment, signed an agreement with Innovmetric to resell Polyworks 3D scanning and digitizing software. CGI specializes in 3D inspection systems, software, and services for first article inspections,  failure analysis, reverse engineering, and tooling qualification. CGI systems use cross-sectional scanning tchnology to generate point-cloud data about the object being inspected. The company’s Spec.Check inspection software can measure the point-cloud data to determine the dimensions of the object and whether it’s in spec.

CGI has been involved with industrial metrology in the automotive,  aerospace, injection molding, medical, and electronics industries.
According to Craig Crump, CEO and President, “When it comes to the inspection of small, complex injection molded parts, we want to provide more value to our customers,” said Craig Crump, CEO and president of CGI. “One means to this end is to augment our scanning systems with an offering of software products that expand the applications of CGI’s technology.”
