DesignAdvance Systems, Inc.(Pittsburgh, PA), a developer ofintelligent EDA solutions for PCB design, announced CircuitPlan, an advancedconcept-level planning tool for the hardware engineer. CircuitPlan provides theindustry’s first solution that offers true planning, feasibility, and designcollaboration from concept-level planning through physical design and test.

CircuitPlansupports full logical and physical hierarchy and provides a mechanism to begindesign by populating preliminary plans with design data, including mechanical, from previous and existing designs or reference boards (both partial or completenetlists). Users can plan with generic or pseudo components and/or CircuitSpacetemplates. Concurrent syncing with schematic allows the user to replace genericor pseudo components with schematic completed components. Users can performongoing feasibility analysis such as multi-level fit studies, and view bothfunctional and physical design encompassing inter-view connectivity. CircuitPlanimports and exports into IDF and/or leading PCB designflows.

CircuitPlanleverages placement automation technologies such as interactive clustering, replication of exact/partial clusters, modification and propagation of designchanges, and apply templates.

Pricing forCircuitPlan v1.0 (available in February 2009) starts at $3,990.
