CoCreate Software, Inc. (Fort Collins, CO) recently announced a new release of its OneSpace Integration for mySAP Product Lifecycle Management (mySAP PLM). The 2006 version allows easier transfer of 2D drawings, 3D models, and other design data between mySAP PLM and the CoCreate environment.

The integration is part of CoCreate’s larger PLM strategy termed “3G PLM.” According to the company, this third-generation approach to PLM leverages existing IT investments and integrates product development with both upstream and downstream systems. In this case, companies connect their CoCreate product development environment with their mySAP PLM implementation.

“Product development cannot work disconnected from the other organizational efforts that are key to the PLM process,” says William M. Gascoigne, CoCreate CEO. “Manufacturing companies can’t afford the fumbled transitions and diminished returns that result from incompatible systems.”
