CEC(Bedford, NH) has introduced usbDAQ/108 and usbDAQ/109, two USB dataacquisition (DAQ) devices that deliver multifunction capabilities withsimplicity and low cost. Whether the application is industrial oracademic, the convenience of USB makes it portable.

These compact devices include features like overvoltage protection onanalog lines, voltage source to power sensors and external devices, andboard design to increase accuracy and reduce noise. The devices aredesigned to be efficient and flexible as they are pPowered by the USBbus and outfitted with screw terminals for direct signal connectivity.

Each DAQ device features eight channels of analog input with 12-bitresolution at up to 10kS/s or 14-bit resolution at up to 48kS/s, twoanalog outputs, 12 digital I/O lines, and a 32-bit counter. They arealso shipped with a driver supporting TestPoint, LabVIEW, or Cprogramming, and ready-to-use data logging. The system can be set upfor measurement within minutes out of the box.
