Big Data application platform company Concurrent Inc. has appointed Supreet Overoi as vice president of field engineering.

This appointment is due to increasing customer demand and enterprise data applications, a company press release states. In his new position, Oberoi will supervise the company's efforts to launch and operationalize its commercial offerings.

Oberoi joins this position from Bank of America, where he was a Big Data technical evangelist and director of Big Data technical delivery. He has 20 years of enterprise software experience.

"As we accelerate growth and operationalize our commercial product, Driven, it becomes critical to have the market expertise, wisdom and counsel of a veteran leadership team. (Oberoi's) extensive Big Data experience and first-hand knowledge from the trenches of several high-growth technology companies makes him a key addition to our leadership team at this point in the company's evolution," says Gary Nakamura, CEO, Concurrent, Inc.
