CoreTechSystem (Hsinchu, Taiwan)released its new plastics design and analysis software version for preciseinjection molding simulation, Moldex3D R9.1, which provides enhanced parallelcomputing technology and new meshing kernel. Moldex3D R9.1 embodies a remotecontrol environment to help users efficiently distribute and manage thecomputing resource of the whole organization.

Moldex3DR9.1 offers features that deliver the most accurate analysis results onmulti-component molding. Integration with several structural CAE software suchas ANSYS, SIMULIA, Nastran, Marc, and LS-Dyna can expand solutions to encompassin-depth evaluations of manufacturing process impacts on the structuralperformance of the part.

Keyfeatures include enhanced parallel computing that could gain from 3 to 10 timesof acceleration — the company says that with the latest Intel Core i7technology, Moldex3D R9.1 can reach the maximum acceleration. Generally, thecomputation speed can accelerate up to 350 percent faster by the quad-core powerof one Intel Core i7 processor.

Thebenchmark of Moldex3D R9.1 on a 4-node Core i7 PC-clusters shows more than 10times performance up of 3D Flow analysis on a case of one million elements.

With 485plastic materials being updated and added to the database, Moldex3D R9.1enhances its capacity for simulations with highest precision. Usabilityenhancements include the Gate and Runner design wizards of Moldex3D to helpalleviate the time-consuming runner and gate design process.
