On June 15-16, 2010, members of the Cornell Center for Advanced Computing (CAC) and The MathWorks will present a National Science Foundation-sponsored training workshop, “Using MATLAB on the TeraGrid,” on the campus of Cornell University.

The two-day workshop will focus on how to use MATLAB on the 512-core NSF-funded experimental computing resource located at Cornell. There is no fee for this workshop.

Lectures, labs, and discussions will focus on the system architecture and how to use The MathWorks’ Parallel Computing Toolbox to run parallel and distributed tasks locally and on remote resources. Workshop participants will learn how to install and use client software and the Parallel Computing Toolbox to launch MATLAB jobs from a local desktop and run them on the remote cluster at Cornell. Workshop instructors will assist users in code development and porting.

To register for the workshop, please visit www.cac.cornell.edu/education/register/.
