DE Parent Sells Supply Chain Manufacturing & Logistics and Chief Supply Chain Officer Magazines

Helmers Publishing will focus efforts on its core magazine, Desktop Engineering, and its ancillary products.

Retail Systems Alert Group (RSAG; Newton, MA), a Proximus B2B company, and Helmers Publishing, Inc.(Dublin, NH) announce the acquisition-sale of Helmers Publishing'sSupply Chain group.  The group includes: Supply ChainManufacturing and Logistics (SCML), a monthly publication; SCML'swebsite, www.scml-mag.com; Chief Supply Chain Officer, a bi-monthlypublication; SCML Buyers Guide (print edition); SCML Buyers Guide(online edition); Chief Supply Chain Officer Insights, an e-newsletter,Chief Supply Chain Officer's website, www.chiefsupplychainofficer.com;Supply Chain Pick of the Week, an electronic newsletter; and theManufacturer-Retailer Connection Event.

"Several months ago we began exploring a partnership with the RetailSystems show for a co-exhibiting opportunity with our conference, theManufacturer-Retailer Connection," said Steve Robbins, president ofHelmers Publishing, Inc. "We realized as we worked together that bothmagazines as well as the conference aligned perfectly with meeting thegoal of the Retail Systems show—to expand their reach into the frontend of the manufacturing process."

With the sale of the Supply Chain group, Helmers Publishing, Inc. isplanning to expand into new markets and continue to build around itscore magazine, Desktop Engineering (DE), and its ancillary products.Helmers custom publishing division continues to do well, and theconference program for DE is gearing up for the fall. There are severalother ideas in the pipeline for magazine launches as well.
