2Degrees Frost Data Solutions (Bellingham, WA) has created a new networked storage system based on the EtherDrive SR1520T storage appliance from Coraid Inc. (San Clemente, CA). The Coraid SR1520T provides 11.25TB of RAID storage in a free standing tower, released first to the Mac market.
2Degrees Frost developed the Mac OSX software driver for the ATA-over-Ethernet (AoE) storage protocol, and it now offers complete storage systems by bundling its technology with Coraid’s AoE storage products. AoE storage uses standard Ethernet without using TCP/IP and is best suited for Mac users who need to share storage in a SAN environment.
