EDAS Inc. Relaunches as Apex Turbine Testing Technologies

EDAS Inc., has relaunched itself as Apex Turbine Testing Technologies. The change, according to a company press release, is to better align the organization's name with its services with future products.

Apex Turbine is a provider of turbomachinery aeromechanical testing and analysis. It also offers test operations and data acquisition solutions. In January, it released Blade Timing (BT) 1.0, a software for post-test analysis of tip-timing data. Apex Turbine states it plans to add capabilities for capturing data in real time.

“BT provides our users with an easy to use tip-timing product which does not require expert analysis experience,” said William VanFossen, vice president of Apex Turbine. “Our goal is for BT to become the premiere real-time monitoring and post-test analysis tool for tip-timing.”

In expanding its software offerings, Apex Turbine also plans to release newer versions of its other programs, including Workflow, GageMap and DS. These softwares help process data, optimize gage placement and monitoring, and control data acquisition.
