Dassault Systemes(Paris, France) recently announced ENOVIA 3D Live beta version, callingit the first “3D Collaborative Intelligence” solution. It exploits theV5 SOA architecture and allows a user to navigate or search for any PLMinformation, regardless of location, source, or format.
 
According to a pres release, ENOVIA 3D Live is a lightweightapplication that will be available via the Web. It makes it possiblefor anyone to connect to any PLM information source. New technologiesinclude 3DSearch, 3Dnavigation, and 3DCollaboration. ENOVIA 3D Live canembrace any PLM data, via V5 SOA open architecture.

The V5 SOA strategy, which stands for Service Oriented Architecture,will be the technical foundation for future DS’ PLM brands and partnersolutions moving forward, and will be used to extend the benefits ofPLM solutions to new markets and new types of users and communities. V5SOA provides services in five domains: V5 SOA collaborative userexperience; V5 SOA business process modeling and execution; V5 SOA IPmodeling, integration, and management; V5 SOA Enterprise foundations(search, collaboration, etc.); and V5 SOA openness (web services,3DXML, etc.) DS will leverage its partnerships with IBM and Microsoftto optimize V5 SOA on their respective platforms.
