Delft Spline Systems (Utrecht, the Netherlands) released DeskProto Version 5.0, which will be demonstrated at the 2008 Euromold show in December.
The new version for subtractive rapid prototyping features exiting improvements such as machining bitmap data using a gray-value to Z-height conversion, free-formed segments that can now can be nested, user configurable wizards based on scripts, support for 64-bit Windows, easier user interface using an improved project tree, some special wizards for jewelers, like the 123WaxRing wizard, and new strategies, like Circular and Radial toolpaths.
