FreeDesign Inc.(Longmont, CO) is introducing patent-pending N-Sided Surfacing (NSS)technology in FreeDimension, which frees users from quadrilateralsurfacing technologies like NURBS and Bezier surfaces. According to apress release, the NSS technology enables FreeDimension to present acurve-based interface to the user that more closely mimics the penciland paper method of design, creating more freedom and innovation fordesigners in product development, industrial design, and 3D gaming.

"FreeDimension provides the flexibility that designers should have hadall-along," says Dick Sowar, CEO of FreeDesign. "Not only that, usingFreeDimension actually makes 3D design fun and rewarding."


FreeDesign will be unveiling FreeDimension at SIGGRAPH 2006 in Bostonbeginning Sunday, and will be located at booth #2126. Free Trials ofthe software will be available at the booth and as a take-home CD forqualified attendees.
