GEOMATE Releases CADCALCS 2.0 CAD

GEOMATE Company (San Jose, CA) releasedCADCALCS 2.0, which enables users to sketch-and-solve a wide range of design andengineering challenges while making informed decisions.

CADCALCS2.0 combines sketching, calculations, and optimization in one application thatlets users work with geometry in the same way spreadsheets work with numbers.The company says when geometry and mathematical aspects of an engineeringchallenge are inseparable, CADCALCS 2.0 can deliver answers in less time thanother methods.

CADCALCS2.0’s ultra-fast constraint manager driving the CADCALCS 2.0 sketcher wasdeveloped for function modeling. A library of 88 geometry-associativecalculations built-in functions is included that can automate virtually anydesign calculation needed for aerospace, automotive, mechanical, structural,civil, electrical, chemical, and industrial engineering.

Plus,CADCALCS 2.0 includes geometry Goal Seek capability that enables users toautomatically backsolve design challenges that benefit from optimization againststipulated shape, position, and fit criteria, using only fourmouse-clicks.

CADCALCS2.0 enables users to leverage their existing investments in design andcalculation tools. A bidirectional dynamic data exchange (DDE) facility allowsusers to link Excel and CADCALCS 2.0 to leverage existing calculations and VBapplications to drive CADCALCS 2.0 solution models. Conversely, complex geometryand dimensional information from CADCALCS 2.0 can be dynamically linked to Excelcalculations thereby eliminating steps needed for applying mathematics to solvegeometry-dependent design problems.

CADCALCS2.0 can be used by itself and in conjunction with Excel and all popular CADapplications on any computer running Vista or Windows. At $299 per commercialuser, the educational price is $99 per user.
