GHOST 3D Updates 3D Products for Autodesk

GHOST 3D, LLC (San Francisco, CA) announced updated plug-in versions of its 3D modeling, 3D manipulation, digitizing, animation, visualization, and reverse engineering products on the Windows platform for Autodesk 3ds max 2009 and 3ds max Design 2009.

GHOST 3D has been an authorized partner and member of the Autodesk Developer Network for over 12 years. Updated products include the company’s Surf-iT and Power Modeler Pack products, which provide a suite of modeling tools that create 3D models using both 3D and 2D design and drawing techniques. Users can frame out complex surfaces by drawing,  refining, and editing using spline-based patches; convert to subdivision surfaces, editable subdivision polygon objects, NURMS, NURBS, and mesh; and export to popular file formats. Additional highlights include parametric drag-and-drop 3D-spline objects and advanced surfacing. GHOST 3D’s ResErect product offers mesh, patch, primitive, and spline conversion to optimized splines;  preservation of animation; rebuilding of splines; preparation for surfacing;  and special import capability for Hash’s Animation Master patch-based models.
