September 11, 2007 -- INUS Technology, Inc. (Seoul, South Korea), developer of Rapidform 3D scanning software, upgraded its Rapidform XOS2/Scan software, formerly a companion product to XOR/Redesign and XOV/Verifier. It is now a stand-alone software application for the creation of mesh and surface models from 3D scan data.
With a four-fold increase in features and functions, XOS2 processes point cloud data, creates watertight meshes and generates high-quality NURBS surfaces. These functions were once exclusive to INUS's XOR/Redesign product, which is 3D scanning software application that builds editable, parametric solid models.
XOS2 features liveScan, a real-time scan data acquisition tool that connects Rapidform to leading 3D scanner technology from Creaform, Z Corporation, Konica Minolta, Perceptron, Kreon, Leica, and Faro.
