DEXcenter 5.3, the latest version of the web-based CAD collaboration product from ITI TranscenData (Milford, OH), is now available.

As an internet-based solution with built-in security measures, DEXcenter gives round-the-clock support for CAD translation and data exchange between partners and suppliers in a multi-CAD PLM environment.

DEXcenter 5.3 offers automated control of CAD systems, direct translators, model repair and healing, translation verification, and custom batch applications. It features open architecture for integration with PLM and business processes, as well as scalable translation servers with load balancing.

Users need only a web browser and an authorized account to access the DEXcenter. A “drag and drop” or file browser selection allows users to pick the required files; single or multiple recipients for the data are then selected, and then DEXcenter performs automatic data translation and transmission based upon individual recipient profiles.

DEXcenter, in conjunction with the CADIQ 3D model comparison software, will automatically verify that translated models match the originals; in addition, multiple translation methods can be performed and verified until acceptable results are obtained.
