Lambda (San Diego, CA) has extended its DPP family of DIN rail-mount power supplies with the addition of 120- and 240-watt models: the new DPP120 and DPP240 series provide an economical solution for mid-power factory automation and process control applications.

The DPP120 series is available with a nominal output of 12V, 24V, or 48V; the DPP240 series is available with an output of either 24V or 48V. For special applications, both series have a front panel potentiometer for adjusting output voltage. Up to three units can be paralleled for higher power applications. Typical efficiencies reach up to 90 percent.

Both models are convection cooled and operate over a wide temperature range of -25 degrees C to +71 degrees C. The units are enclosed in a rugged metal case and can be mounted on either a TS35/7.5 or TS35/15 standard DIN rail. Colored LED indicators give an immediate visual confirmation of the output status.

Preselecting the AC input voltage range is not required because both models operate continuously over an input range of 90 to 264 volts AC (via auto-select feature). Active power factor correction is incorporated, ensuring full compliance to EN61000-3-2. The series meets EN55022 class B EMI standards (radiated and conducted), is approved to UL60950 and EN60950 specifications,  and is listed to UL508 and CE Marked.

The power supplies feature low ripple and noise and are protected against over-current and over-voltage conditions. The DPP120 (@$61) and DPP240 (@$90) series supplies are available now in 100-unit quantities.
