LEDAS Ltd. has ported LGS, its variational geometric solver software, to Mac OS X. The LEDAS geometric solver is a parametric engine for sketching, drawing, history-free 3D modeling, bottom-up assembly design, and kinematic simulation applications.
“We are pleased to offer our LGS software to satisfy increasing customer demand for parametric applications on Mac OS X,” said Dmitry Ushakov, director of Product Management, LEDAS Ltd. “Being a traditional choice for design professionals, the Mac platform still lacks powerful parametric CAD solutions. LGS is LEDAS’ first product for the Mac, and we have already started work on porting our Driving Dimensions plugin to this platform.”
LGS 2D and 3D have been ported to Mac OS X, and tested on a base of 10,000 industrial parametric models, according to the company. Sales and support of LGS 2D/3D for Mac OS X Mac OS X v10.4 and v10.5 are available. Older versions can be supported on request.
LGS 2D/3D can be licensed by any CAD development company or by an individual developer on a flat annual fee basis with no per copy royalties. A free evaluation version is available.
