PC company preloads Novell's desktop distribution.

Lenovo, the Chinese company that acquired its PC business from IBM, will now offer Novell’s SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop 10 to its business customers. The move follows on the heels of Dell, which is also offering Novell desktop Linux pre-installed.

Three years ago even the hardest of the hard-core Linux geeks had to admit that desktop distributions were rough around the edges. But users I’ve talked to lately have kinder and kinder things to say about Linux on desktops and laptops. Have you used any of these distributions? What do you like and what do you hate? In other news, Lenovo just agreed to acquire Packard Bell. Now that’s a name I haven’t heard in a while!
