Megaohm Validator for DA from EDL

Electronic Development Labs, Inc. (EDL; Danville, VA) announced the Megaohm Validator, whichit says provides a simple method of ensuring insulation resistance testers areoperating properly. The Megaohm Validator provides DC resistances from 1 MΩ to10GΩ. The Megaohm Validator is lightweight and portable and can be used in thelab or onsite to verify the measurement accuracy of insulation resistancetesters.  

Measurements with insulation testers inhigh-resistance ranges are often difficult to interpret when problems exist inthe unit undergoing testing. Erratic readings caused by polarization, moisture,and poor insulation result in faulty analysis and cause doubt in themeasurement. This is why verifying the tester and lead performance is vital tounderstanding the measurement.
