Metrix Software Solutions Ltd.(Montreal, QUE) a provider of portable 3D coordinate metrology andinspection applications, has announced it will embed INORAme, a mathengine from Inora Technologies(Ann Arbor, MI), in its solution. Metrix 3D metrology software isintended for reliable coordinate measurement, tool building, inspection, and process automation.

According to a recent press release, embedding INORAme within Metrixwill ensure fast and reliable measurement that automatically identifiesirregularities and delivers numerical clarity. It is seen as improvingthe efficiency of Metrix, which is a traceable, model-based approach tomeasurement planning, GDandT inspection, and reporting. Metrix is asingle platform for interfacing with multiple, portable coordinatemetrology devices on the shop floor, integrating the power of portablearms, laser trackers, scanners, and other devices. According to Metrix, the software is easy to use for the casual user and provides the depthand traceability that metrology experts require.

INORAme evaluates and determines the right solution in an imperfectprocess. Based on the self-regulating logic of natural intelligence, itis said to recognize natural forms even when 49 percent of the data isflawed. Metrix, powered by INORAme, replaces filter-based best-fitmethods and eliminates unexpected measurement deviation andimperfection. It lessens the influence of device and operator error byidentifying and correcting for imperfect or even missing information.

According to Arnold Free, president of Metrix, combining the twosolutions “gives our customers complete control over the measurementprocess. ]It] ensures that our customers’ measurement data is secureand free from errors. Measurement processes are easier, controlled, andcompletely repeatable.”

Metrix supports native 3D models from CATIA, NX, and other design software. For more information, visit metrix3d.com.
