MIP Ltd has launched SolidGenius Version 17, the new generation of its integrated application suite for PTC's Creo Elements/Direct Modeling (formerly CoCreate Modeling). SolidGenius 17 is based on the "Direct Modeling" kernel of Creo Elements/Direct Modeling.

SolidGenius 17 highlights include:

  1. A new module "FramesLink" for the design of frame structures for mechanical and civil engineers.
  2. A "Screw Connections Wizard."
  3. Improved CCF Editor for creating part libraries.
  4. Enhanced capabilities for Model Manager integration.
  5. Enhanced "Actions" capabilities for screws.
  6. New functionality for Startholes for Hole tables.
  7. The support of Italian and Turkish languages in addition to the existing ones.

SolidGenius 17 works with Windows XP, Vista and Windows7 both for 32 and 64 bits versions, supporting PTC's Creo Elements/Direct Modeling and Model Manager V15, V16 and V17.
