NEC Introduces Widescreen LCDs to AccuSync Line

NEC Display Solutions of America (Chicago, IL) announced the addition of three new widescreen desktop displays to its AccuSync line, targeted to small- to medium-sized businesses, direct marketers, home office workers, system builders, and retail channels.

The 19-in. ASLCD194WXM and the 22-in. ASLCD224WXM displays replace the previous generation wide products, while the 17-in. ASLCD174WXM is a new addition to this category. Each is a multimedia product, and the displays have a new, thin design. All three models save energy and are touch-integration compatible.

The three new displays, all with black cabinets, have a native resolution of 1440 x 900 for the ASLCD174WXM ($209.99 )and ASLCD194WXM ($229.99), and 1680 x 1050 for the ASLCD224WXM; brightness at 250 cd/m2 for the 17-in. model, and 300 cd/m2 for the 19-in. and 22-in. displays; contrast ratio of 800:1 for the ASLCD174WXM, 1000:1 for the ASLCD194WXM ($329.99), and 900:1 for ASLCD224WXM ($329.99).

Other features include ECO Mode, NEC’s onscreen feature that allows users to reduce brightness and lower power consumption by 30 percent, exceptional widescreen performance, sleek and thin bezel, Ambix dual-input technology, Rapid-Response technology (8-ms — black to black — for the ASLCD174WXM and 5-ms — black to black — for the ASLCD194WXM and the ASLCD224WXM), which delivers virtually uninterrupted, undistorted viewing of high-speed, full-motion video.

In an earlier announcement, NEC Display Solutions announced the addition of five 3-Series LCD monitors to the AccuSync display family. The new 17 and 19-in. displays are suited for small-to-medium-sized businesses or home office users. The AccuSync 3-Series replaces the 2-Series, and includes the 17-in. ASLCD73VX ($224.99), ASLCD73VX-BK ($224.99), and the multimedia ASLCD73VXM-BK ($239.99), as well as the 19-in. ASLCD93VX-BK ($254.99) and the multimedia ASLCD93VXM-BK ($274.99).
