Sensor System Solutions, Inc. (3S; Irvine, CA), a manufacturer of MEMS sensors, intelligent sensor interface electronics, and intelligent embedded control systems, is offering the ACT-2 Model 4000 as a companion digital display for the 3S line of Model 2000 intelligent scales and ISAC Model 3000 series intelligent signal conditioners.

The 4000 is a dual-channel instrument that permits two 3S devices to be monitored simultaneously over a RS485 network. Along with displaying real-time readings, the 4000 allows configuration of connected devices and includes the standard features found in typical weight indicators.

The Model 4000 has dual channel displays, messaging and error condition display areas, and text-prompted menu options for navigation. The unit includes a Vessel Switchover Routine that can automatically switchover from one vessel to another based on user-defined limits.

It is intended to work in gas vessel switchover (liquefied gas delivery to semiconductor manufacturing operations), continuous weight monitoring, swimming pool maintenance (automated chlorination systems), process control (bulk materials-gravel plants), and system integration, among other applications.

The unit and its specifications can be viewed at corp3s.com.
