Accelrys, Inc.’s Pipeline Pilot Enterprise Server 7.5 is a platform for the integration, analysis, and reporting of scientific data. This release introduces new functionality in the areas of analytical chemistry and collaboration that can be used by the scientific community to increase research productivity.

Pipeline Pilot Enterprise Server is a software platform that streamlines integration and analysis of vast quantities of data flooding research informatics. It provides a development environment, fast and secure deployment, minimal maintenance costs, and application extensibility.

Enhancements have been made in four core areas:

  • Integration with Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007,  a collaboration and content management tool that will allow Accelrys applications to be executed and displayed from the SharePoint Server environment.
  • Support for data originating from analytical instruments. This enables R&D to improve the productivity of analytical laboratory operations, facilitating access, processing, and reporting of analytical data.
  • Integration with distributed computing engines such as Sun Grid Engine, PBS Professional, and Platform LSF, enabling computations to run more efficiently on multi-processor machines.
  • Improved enterprise deployment and security capabilities,  including SSL certificate management, proxy server authentication, centralized multi-server administration and enhanced usage reporting.
