The NextDimension Evo and NextDimension Evo HD are the latest additions to the NextDimension family of Flextop computers from NextComputing (Nashua, NH). The two retain Flextop features like open standards architecture, flexible I/O options, upgradability, and graphics capabilities. The Evo HD features an integrated hi-definition display.

The Evo is intended for use as a workstation and server while its small size maximizes work space. The dimensions of the Evo and Evo HD are 5.69 in. X 11.44 in. X 16.8 in.

Features include one or two single- or dual-core AMD Opteron processors with Direct Connect Architecture, up to 16GB DDRAM, three Gigabit Ethernet ports, up to two quick-time removable HDDs totaling 320GB, and support for all major 32- and 64-bit environments.

There are three PCI Express x16 or PCI-X slots, up to three independent storage options that can be used in any combination of quick-time removable drives, and a NextPak mass storage disk option allowing storage configurations up to 800GB. Additionally, the Evo and Evo HD support NextComputing's clip-on portable HD flat panel monitor.

"The NextDimension Evo is exactly what its name implies: the natural evolution of Flextop computing," comments Bob Labadini, President and CTO of NextComputing.
