OMEGA’s new NS series touchscreen HMIs offer built-in Ethernet communications, alarming/recipe/data-logging capabilities and live video input/display capabilities. The CE compliant NS series also allows users to monitor ladder programs without using a personal computer.

The NS series is targeted at the automotive, chemical and plastics industries, and monitors process temperature and pressure, packaging parts count and water/air flow rates.

According to the company, the HMIs can reduce project design time by preprogramming function blocks that easily drag-and-drop into a program. Users just have to specify values for key parameters. The built-in Smart Active Parts library lets users establish communications and parameters for a range of products.

A device monitor function that enables monitoring the PLC I/O data required for device maintenance and debugging is included as a standard feature. Ladder monitor lets users monitor PLC program status, search for addresses or instructions, monitor multiple I/O points, and much more.
