PAS Technology has released PAS ILM 3.0, the latest version of its inspection lifecycle management software. The system provides file preparation from any CAD model (or even a PDF), inspection automation for any CMM machine, and planning and reporting automation, including FAI.

All three steps are integrated (or can be stand-alone), automated, and eliminate any translation or interpretation, the company says, performing the work in just minutes.

PAS ILM is fluid with native CAD files like SolidWorks, CATIA, NX, and PRO-E, but can also use standard data interfaces like IGES or STEP along with a PDF drawing. PAS ILM automatically converts all CAD data to a complete CMM program. It contains all available inspection characteristics along with bi-directional ballooning automation and automatically populates a custom FAI report.

All inspection requirements and characteristics are already analyzed and stored in PAS ILM. The solution will write out the code to a machine for any touch-trigger probe, including the PH-20.
