NextComputing (Nashua, NH), creators of the FlexTop personal supercomputer, recently announced the implementation of a high-resolution, portable, multiple-display visualization center. The 17-in. flat-panel monitor is one inch thick and weighs less than 4 lbs. These new monitors enable the multiple-display configuration on the NextDimension system.

NextDimension can provide resolutions up to 1920 X 1200, high-performance CPU capabilities, and multiple PCI Express cards to drive the graphics.

The portable, multi-display configuration allows users to transport each component of their work area — system, monitors, keyboard and mouse - to where they need to work or demonstrate. HD projectors connect to the monitor for a demonstration of the graphics applications. Single- or Dual-Core AMD Opteron processors provide the power.

A "stationary workstation" configuration is also available, where the system itself is screenless and is placed under the desk, and monitors are placed on the desk.
