Quickparts (Atlanta,GA)  has been recognized by Inc. Magazine and named to the second annual Inc. 5000 list of the fastest-growing private companies in the country.

To be on the list, the 5000 chosen candidates must report aggregate revenue of $185 billion and median three-year growth of 147 percent. What characterizes these companies is that they are examples of job growth, having created more than 826,033 jobs since those companies were founded.

Quickparts is an excellent example, in that it has grown from a start-up company to a top producer of low-volume/rapid prototypes and injection molded parts in just eight years. From 2000 to 2008, Quickparts has enjoyed eight straight years of exceeding 20 percent revenue growth.

Revenue growth is measured by the 2008 Inc. 5000 list from 2004 through 2007. For the 2008 Inc. 5000 list, qualifying companies must be U.S.-based and privately held, independent — not subsidiaries or divisions of other companies — as of December 31, 2007, and have had at least $200,000 in revenue in 2004, and $2 million in 2007.

Incidentally, last year’s top two categories on the Inc. 5000 list were Construction and Manufacturing, which this year have been supplanted by IT Services and Business Services (last year’s numbers three and four).
