IMAGINiT Technologies/Avatech Solutions have announced that the contest deadline for the Render Us Speechless Contest will be extended to Nov. 30, 2010, and that the prizes in all categories have been increased to total $6,750. The focus of the contest remains to publicly recognize the best digital rendering and visualization designers who use Autodesk design and engineering software.

Submissions can be entered into three categories:

  • Manufacturing/Mechanical
  • Civil/Mapping/GIS
  • Architecture/Building Design

Each of the categories will be awarded three prizes—a first place of $1,000, a second place of $750, and a third place of $500.

Before entering, judges recommend contestants survey last year's finalists by watching a two minute movie on Avatech Solutions' YouTube Channel.

Realism of the image, the general composition of the rendering, and overall communication of design intent will be the judges' primary focus. Winners will be announced in early 2011 and select entries will be showcased in the IMAGINiT/Avatech Rendering Gallery and on the IMAGINiT and Avatech corporate websites.

The deadline for submissions is midnight Eastern Standard Time on Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2010. Entrants may enter as many categories as they wish, but the same rendering cannot be entered in more than one category. There is no entry fee. Entries may be submitted via mail or online.
