Saelig Co. Inc. (Pittsford, NY) is offering thePicoScope4000 PC oscilloscope adapters, made by Pico Technology. The 2- or4-channel 20MHz high-resolution oscilloscopes are suited for general, scientific, and field-service use. With 12-bit resolution (adjustable up to 16bits in enhanced resolution mode) and 1 percent accuracy, they are an excellentchoice for noise, vibration, and mechanical analysis.

With a fast80MSps real-time sampling rate and input ranges from ±50mV to ±100V full-scale,PicoScope4000 scopes can handle small signals from sensors as well as highervoltages from power supply circuits and motor drives. The deep 32MS memoryallows PicoScope4000 series scopes to capture more than 400msec of data at themaximum sampling rate without any performance reduction. Powered solely from astandard USB 2.0 port, no power adapter or batteries are required, makingPicoScope4000 series scopes suited for fieldwork with a laptopPC.

PicoScope4000 Series oscilloscopesinclude PicoScope6 software for Windows PCs, which harnesses the PC’s processingpower, storage, graphics, and networking capabilities. An API and examples areincluded for LabVIEW, C, C++, Delphi and Visual Basic for integration intousers’ own software. The PicoScope 4224 (2-ch) is $769.66 and the PicoScope 4424(4-ch) is $1233.98.

Saelig isalso offering a new USB Scope Adapter, which offers seven functions in onecompact unit. The CircuitGear CGR-101 is a new, low-cost PC-based instrumentthat provides the features of seven devices in one USB- powered compact box:2-channel 10-bit 20MSps 2MHz oscilloscope, 2-channel spectrum-analyzer, 3MHz8-bit arbitrary-waveform/standard-function generator with 8 digital I/O lines. It also functions as a Network Analyzer, a Noise Generator, and a PWM Outputsource (all for less than $180).
