Samsung Electronics America, Inc.(Irvine, CA) has introduced the SyncMaster 931C, a 19-in. TFT LCDmonitor that features 97 percent of the NTSC (National TelevisionSystem Committee) color gamut for CCFL (Cold Cathode Fluorescent Lamp)displays.

According to a press release, the new monitor provides a color rangewell beyond the 82 percent rating typical of LCD displays. As a result,more vibrant, true-to-life images can be created.

In addition to its wide color ability, the SyncMaster 931C offers a2000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, a 2ms (GTG) response time, 1280 x 1024resolution, and 250 cd/m2 brightness. The 931C also offers aPrintViewer function, which enables the user to have an accuratepreview of images for exact color printing. 

The monitor's color performance and response time make it particularlywell suited for analysis visualization and graphics design as well asgame development. Price: $299.99.
